Mushroom Surprise

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Lean Ground Beef
  • 3 12-oz. Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup (Not Concentrate)
  • 1 Package Mushrooms, Sliced
  • 1 16-oz. Bag Egg Noodles, Cooked
  • 3 Tbsp. Italian Seasoning
  • Hot Sauce to Taste (Optional)
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

Cooking Instructions

  • Prepare egg noodles according to package instructions.
  • Meanwhile, in a heavy-bottomed pot, brown the ground beef, then drain off all grease and set aside.
  • In the same pot, add just a little of the rendered beef fat and cook the mushrooms until soft.
  • Once the mushrooms are cooked, add the cooked ground beef back in and mix.
  • Season with salt, pepper and the Italian seasoning.
  • Add the cans of cream of mushroom soup and bring to a simmer.
  • Add the hot sauce and fold in the cooked egg noodles.
  • Serve with grated Parmesan.
